Introduced by DMA Yachting, the breathtaking charter yacht CORAL OCEAN is a 239 ft motor yacht featuring a jetski and a hot tub. The most valuable elements of CORAL OCEAN are her most appealing features and culinary experience. CORAL OCEAN spends the summer season in France. She was delivered by the well-known ship builder Lurssen in 1994. A succesful refit was delivered in 2022. The spacious yacht layout features 6 large cabins and easily accommodates a maximum of 12 guests.
CORAL OCEAN is classified as a superyacht. The key part of the yacht, inviting aft deck, leads to the the heart of the yacht - the main saloon. Professional Background: Will is a highly experienced charter captain having spent over 17 years as captain on large charter yachts cruising worldwide. He has overseen every aspect of the rebuild of Coral Ocean and is extremely excited and proud to show her amazing potential. Originally from the north of England, Will now, lives in Palma de Mallorca with his wife and 2 girls. He grew up sailing and after graduating in Mechanical Engineering pursued a career in yachting first on sailing yachts then on large motor yachts. An avid water sports fan, he counts kitesurfing as his favourite pastime and can be seen out on the waves when time allows. Professional Background: Anthony was born in Cannes, France, before moving to England at the age of 5. From a young age he had a passion for all activities on and around the water. After leaving school he embarked on a three-year cadetship with P&O & Cunard cruises, where he completed 2 trips around the world. After completing a couple of trips as third officer Anthony decided it was time to move into yachting to have a closer connection to the environment in which he was working. Since then, he has worked on a variety of yachts ranging from 24m to 120m, in ranks from deckhand to Captain. Anthony is now looking forward to getting the most out of Coral Ocean and providing memorable experiences for the guests who have the pleasure of sailing on her. Chief Officer: Sam
Professional Background: Sam obtained a Sport’s degree focusing mainly on the teaching and learning aspects of sports and involved in the education profession teaching sport and science before embarking on a career in yachting. Growing up on the water, it was only natural that from a very young age he was taught a range of water sports, which have now become his major hobbies. It was only a logical progression into the yachting industry and Sam will no doubt enjoy sharing his passion for the ocean with guests and is always eager to teach. As Second Officer, Sam is often working in the bridge to ensure the safety of the Coral Ocean while underway or at anchor but will jump at the opportunity of getting out on deck with the team and interacting with guests. Whether its hiking, kitesurfing, foiling or wakeboarding, Sam will be well up for it. Professional Background: Born Main beach Gold Coast. Two things I wanted when I was young, own a hotel - still possible and play for the wallabies - not quite. I was exposed to great culture & foods from an early age, Mothers’ family old generation Italian Tobacco farmers and Fathers’ family city folk from Melbourne. Never being content lead me to employment at some of the world’s best restaurants such as: El Bulli - Barcelona The French laundry - Napa Valley Noma - Copenhagen Per Se- NYC Years later achieving Qld’s first Good Food Guides 3 hatted restaurant for 8 years esquire with sister restaurant. Chef: Gjorgi
Professional Background: Chef Gjorgi was born and raised in Macedonia where his passion for all things food began. He studied Food Science and Technology, apprenticed and trained with some of the best chefs in Macedonia and Europe .In his early 20’s he moved to St Maarten, after being exposed to the industry and having a brother who was already working on yachts, Gjorgi began his career as a yacht chef. During his 10-year yachting career, he has continuously explored various cuisines while working alongside some amazing chefs in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Chef Gjorgi has served elite clientele both on land and on luxury sailing and motor yachts. He looks forward to stimulating guests’ palate with cuisine from all over the world. Professional Background: Alan is Chief Engineer on MY Coral Ocean. He is from Liverpool where he lives with his girlfriend and young daughter. He joined the merchant navy aged 17 and has spent his career gaining experience in the commercial, offshore and yachting industries. He enjoys DIY, socialising, meeting new people and he has a passion for sports, mainly football and boxing. Chief Engineer: Richard
Richard is one of the Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on MY Coral Ocean. He has been working within the yachting industry since 2016 and this is his third yacht. Prior to yachting, he served as a Royal Navy Submariner for 13 years. He lives in South Wales in the UK with his wife and two sons. He enjoys going to the gym, travelling, dining out and spending time with his family and friends. Matt was born in Devon a small county in the southwest of England where he started his career in refit and new build as Electrical engineer. Matt is keen a traveller, before making the transition to yachting he took a gap year and travelled southeast Asia, Indonesia, and Australia. In Matt’s spare time he enjoys being out on the water wake boarding, or with a racket in hand on the tennis court. Chief Engineer: Stuart
Stuart is second engineer onboard Coral Ocean he joined before the exciting refit period in 2020. He was born in South Africa and grew up on the coast diving and fishing. He started in the yachting industry 17 year ago as a mate/ engineer on smaller sailing boats. Presently he lives in Palma de Mallorca with his little family and enjoys beach days with his 4 year old son. Growing up in South Africa, where he spent weekends and holidays at the beach engaged in water sports and outdoor activities. After 5 years at University, completing his Business management and Law degree and Honors in Entrepreneurial and Business Management, Lehan was intrigued with what the yachting industry had to offer. With 4 years yachting experience Lehan is enthusiastic with a positive and uplifting attitude, he enjoys meeting new people from different countries and the friendships that yachting provides while doing what he loves while working on the water and seeing new places and destinations throughout the year. He is always willing to help and provide guest with a great experience onboard Coral Ocean. Deckhand: Dafydd
Daf was born in Wales but grew up on the water in Devon, Southwest England. He trained as a carpenter with a teak decking company in Barcelona in his late twenties. Since then, he's been working on yachts such as Pelorus and Le Grand Bleu, visiting Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Singapore, and the Caribbean in the process. Daf was involved with refitting the bridge onboard Coral Ocean, and his oak and walnut table is a signature piece unique to the industry. His experience, eye for detail, and sense of humour bring great qualities to the team onboard. He's also a keen portrait photographer and has a lifelong love of the sea. Professional Background: Val grew up in the city life of Odessa, Ukraine .She has always had an incredible passion for horses and throughout her life growing up she competed as a show jumper representing her state in numerous competitions. Stemming from the travels she decided once her degree in Psychology and Communications was completed, she would take on a hospitality role within yachting where she has exerted her creativity and enthusiasm greatly. The last 12 years has allowed her to explore Bahamas, Caribbean, East, West and South Coast of the States extensively, South Pacific, Seychelles , Mexico, French Polynesia, Mediterranean on yachts. When Val manages some free time, she thrives off running, staying fit and exploring new places. She is fluent in English and hopes that you make incredible memories onboard. Professional Background: Jasmine grew up in Devon, England training as a beauty therapist. Having always wanted to travel she then moved to Australia where she worked at five-star spas and lived by the beach. During this time, she also completed her Cetified Padi course and loved being by the water even more so eventually began her career in yachting where she could continue as a spa therapist, travel and be by the sea. All three of which she loves. Jasmine has worked on two Motor yachts previous ranging from 92M to 114M, visiting some incredible destinations such around the Mediterranean such as Croatia, Montenegro, Sardinia and one of her favourites the Caribbean around St Barts and St Martin. Having always enjoyed an active, thrilling, hardworking and travelling lifestyle, yachting is the perfect career for Jasmine, and she can’t wait to see what adventures she encounters along the way. Favourite Charter Destination: There are too many however one of my favourites must be Dubrovnik in Croatia as you have a good mixture of beautiful European restaurants along the cobbled streets with stunning views, culture, diving, great beaches and water sports. Favourite Yachting Experience: Having a group of seven couples on for a ten-day charter. They wanted to have lots of fun and create some long-lasting memories together. During the trip we had themed dinners including an incredible Valentine’s firework display, a brilliant karaoke night where the crew got involved too which gave them a lot of laughter, and a 70’s Disco.
