On Arados, Fen brings a refined service mindset, natural team spirit, and a strong commitment to maintaining the interior to the highest standard. She leads with positivity and clarity, ensuring smooth operations, and an enjoyable atmosphere for both guests and crew. Her background in both hospitality and cooking allows her to anticipate guest needs intuitively, support table service beautifully, and create an inviting and elegant onboard environment. With her warm presence, proactive attitude, and polished service style, she plays a key role in elevating every charter experience on board Arados.
Valentina Pralas — Stewardess (Croatian)
Valentina brings a strong blend of hospitality expertise, service precision, and creativity on board Arados. Raised on the Croatian coast, she developed an early connection to the sea. After completing her studies in Administrative Law at the University of Zagreb, she expanded her talents with training in pastry and dessert preparation. Since starting her yachting career in 2017, Valentina has built solid experience across both charter and private programs, progressing into various positions that demanded strong organisation, and the ability to resist to stress during high season. Her versatility across all interior departments—housekeeping, service, laundry—makes her a reliable pillar within the interior team. A key strength Valentina brings to Arados is her training in wine pairing, which elevates the service on board. She confidently assists with wine selection, pairings, and table service, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and knowledgeable dining experience. On board, Valentina contributes to a smooth and well‑structured service flow, working closely with the Chief Stewardess to maintain consistency, elegance, and attention to detail throughout the charter. She thrives in a team environment where communication, structure, and high standards create a harmonious guest experience. Beyond yachting, Valentina dedicates her time to animal welfare through volunteer work. With her well‑rounded skill set, service knowledge, and commitment to excellence, Valentina is a valuable part of the Arados interior crew and contributes meaningfully to each charter’s success.
Bertrand Penavayre — Chief engineer (French)
Hailing from the Atlantic coast of France, Bertrand studied at the Merchant Navy academies in Marseille and Le Havre. With the goal of working on yachts, he first built his experience on commercial ships, including cable, seismic, and cruise vessels, before joining the yachting industry seven years ago. After extensive travels, Bertrand settled on the French Riviera with his young son. One of his most exciting experiences was aboard an explorer yacht, cruising through Antarctica and French Polynesia. Now, he enjoys saying that he works on the largest Sunseeker yacht ever built. A passionate diver, Bertrand loves deep diving and wreck exploration. He is also an avid hiker and is always eager to bring an adventurous spirit to guests looking for unique experiences!
Aurélien Chaland — Engineer (French )
Aurélien was born into the hospitality industry, beginning his career in various restaurants across France before working in ski resorts. He later took on seasonal roles in Ireland and Spain to improve his English and Spanish language skills. His passion for exploring different cultures led him to travel the world, gaining diverse experience across multiple industries. Eventually, he found his calling in yachting, which offered the perfect blend of hospitality and travel. After spending approximately 10 years working on deck, Aurélien is now eager to expand his knowledge and skills in engineering within the yachting industry.
Dominique Sanders — Deckhand (South African)
Dominique brings enthusiasm, discipline, and a strong sense of teamwork on board Arados. Originally from South Africa, she is driven by a desire for adventure and personal growth, qualities that naturally led her to a career at sea. Dominique’s background includes formal training as a schoolteacher in Paarl. After completing her studies, she spent extensive time living by the coast in Blouberg, where daily exposure to the ocean and an active outdoor lifestyle deepened her connection to the marine environment. Her first significant sailing experience—rounding the Cape of Good Hope—proved decisive for her decision to join the yachting industry. Since then, she has gained hands‑on experience in yacht operations, deck maintenance, and guest service. What Dominique appreciates most about Arados is the professional environment, as well as the emphasis placed on crew development and progression. She is known for her calm approach under pressure and describes herself as resilient, energetic, and helpful, qualities that make her a reliable and positive presence on board, contributing to both safe operations and a refined charter experience.
